North Wales And Cheshire Gundog Training (NWCGT) We are running monthly Gundog training groups for Novice and Advanced Gundogs. The sessions are based in North Wales near Mold (15mins from Chester). Both groups are trained by Darren Skidmore of Moelfamau Cockers. Novice group runs from 10am to 1pm Advanced group runs from 2pm to 5pm £30 per dog per session. Rabbit Pen For Hire

Darren offers the rabbit pen he owns for hire. It can be hired with or without Darren’s tuition.

The pen is full of natural cover and wild rabbits. It is ideal for using for a novice dog or as a refresher for the more skilled dog.

The pen is available to both novice and advanced dogs. Please contact us for price and availability.

General Training

Darren currently runs 8 week training courses for advanced or novice handlers. Please contact us for prices and availability.

Novice

One dog per handler. Aimed at beginners of gundog training. Weekly one hour sessions where the trainer will provide instruction, support and demonstrations of correct procedures. Students will be asked to practice at home in-between lessons. Dogs are to have a reasonably reliable recall in the absense of distraction at the start of the course.

Courses are in small groups to enable proper attention to each class member.

Advanced

One dog per handler. Aimed at handlers and dogs that have an understanding and some gundog training. Weekly one hour sessions where the trainer will provide instruction, support and demonstrations of correct procedures. Dogs are to be reliably obedient and work without a lead.
